About Diamond Coated Burrs

Our unique bond technique allows for a uniform diamond coat that will maintain a consistent abrasive surface overtime. The fine, but sharp diamond grits will let you to work faster on the tooth structure, which will help reduce the heat production. In addition Equine Specialties’ diamond coated burrs are better balanced in order to reduce noise and vibrations, making the procedure more comfortable for the horse and the practitioner.

Beta Biothane Dental Halter
- Made with beta biothane
- Easy to clean
- Side straps won’t rub on the horse’s eye
- Includes a thick foam pad for horse’s comfort
- Breakaway Velcro strap for quick release
This halter is made using beta biothane instead of regular biothane. Beta is a more pliable material that maintains its shape, but does not get stiff in cold weather, and it will not crack after years of hard use. Beta is easy to clean and the halter can just be hosed down at the end of the day. This helps to reduce the possibility of spreading infectious diseases. Other key features of this halter is that it is the ONLY dental halter that is comfortable for the horse and designed so that the side straps will not rub on the horse's eye. For added comfort, there is a thick foam pad that sits under the mandible. It is also the only halter with a breakaway Velcro strap that goes over the poll region. If a horse pulls back before you can pull on the quick release rope, the velcro will just breakaway. This keeps both the practitioner and the horse safe.

Periodontal Cleaning Jet
- Also known as Equi-jet
- Periodontal Cleaning system
- Powered by a 110V pump (bottom of the box)
- 9L water tank (Top of the box)
- The water pick is attached to the water box by a quick disconnect hose that is 8 feet long.
- Lightweight and easy to carry
- 18 inches(H) x 8 inches(W) x 24 inches(L)
- Gentle on soft tissue
The Equi-Jet is the most affordable periodontal cleaning system on the market. The idea behind the design was to have a simple, reasonably priced periodontal system that is suitable for the types of problems encountered in the equine oral cavity. We did not want a complex and fragile system such as is used in human and small animal dentistry - these have been tried in horses, but they are simply too impractical. The Equi-Jet is essentially a high-pressure water system that works great for flushing out periodontal pockets. It is also very effective in debriding the alveolar socket after the extraction of a diseased tooth. Without exception, all practitioners that have purchased the Equi-Jet also use it in place of a dose syringe - for this application, it is faster, easier, more efficient, and uses less water.
